PlacesI declared myself as the official:
Sunproof Clothing Tester

My qualifications are that I burn in the Midday Florida sun in about 20 minutes. And being born and raised in the sunshine state, sun protection is a constant battle.
It is fought every time I pick up a fly rod, kayak paddle, or go to a ball game. And now I have a light weight piece of armor. A pleasant surprise: this shirt is more comfortable than any T-Shirt that I have ever owned. Let me introduce the Ex Offifio Sol Cool L/S T-Shirt. And T-Shirt is an understatement.
See the Ex Officio Sol Cool Collection
The Sol Cool shirt uses a polyester and spandex fiber. They are spun an woven to feel like a blend of silk and cotton. The finish is matt like any cotton Tee, and very smooth. It is a wrinkle free-champion for travel, and the white is dressy enough to wear under a sport coat (not me-mine is going fishing.)
The sleeves are attached raglan style which is part of their mobility, but the biggest difference is the 25% stretch of the fabric. It doesn't bind in any way. The fit is normal, loose and comfortable.
Quick Dry is important, but comfort comes from wicking. Cotton feels good because it pulls moisture (until it is soaking wet.) The Sol Cool fabric does the same, better than any synthetic I can recollect, and but it also dries quickly. This is great in the summer, but was also good after canoeing and sitting around the campfire on a cool night.
Washing was simple-I threw the shirt in the washing machine with the other clothes, no extra thought. I hung it from the washer and it was wrinkle free and ready to wear in a couple hours.

Comfort, Comfort, Comfort!
And over the last couple of weeks I have been getting Racoon Eyes. My Costa 580 Polarized Sunglasses are doing the job! Other compliment to the sunproof clothing are the Buff Headgear Mask and Sunproof Gloves. And using the sunproof clothing to the max, see the author below.
