There are some amazing bargains on flights these days.  But I have found that everything, except a piece of Carry On lugagge has an extra fee.  I must say that it raises my hackles.  So, I will arm wrestle for an aisle seat on the airplane, and I will get to the airport extra, extra early to assure better seat selection, all just to save a few bucks.  And, it is "sporting" to avoid extra baggage fees.  This runs exactly opposite of my tendancy to travel as comfortably as possible. Last year, I discovered the Pack It System from Eagle Creek.  These are luggage organizers that will simplify how you travel.  A single piece of Carry On Luggage may be all you need.
